METRO Cash & Carry was founded in late 1964 in Germany – more than 40 years ago and today we are present in 28 countries around the world with more than 580 wholesale stores. Since coming to Croatia in 2001, we have been continuously expanding and growing, so METRO employs more than 1,400 people in its six wholesale stores in Croatia today: Zagreb Jankomir, Zagreb Sesvete, Rijeka, Zadar, Split and Osijek. Out of that number, more than 150 employees work in company management, providing quality support to each of our wholesale stores.
As a member of a big METRO Group family consisting of more than 264,000 people in more than 30 countries of the world, METRO Cash & Carry accounts for nearly 50% of the total group earnings.
